What is FreshMenu?

FreshMenu is a contactless menu service with an integrated POS. That means your customers can scan a quick code with their smart phones, and browse a menu and order directly. Orders are processed by the POS and then sent directly to the kitchen. This will save your restaurant both time and money!

How does it work?

After sign up, just log into your dashboard, verify your restaurant settings, and add food categories and items to your menu. Then you can print QR codes for your seating area, and customers can quickly order via their phone without installing an app.

What is a QR code?

QR is short for Quick Response. QR codes are found everywhere and can be read easily by any smart phone by pointing the camera towards the code.

What happens when you scan a QR code?

Once your customers point their smartphone cameras at QR codes it'll ask them to open a link that will take them to your restaurant menu.

Our customers may not like the idea of using a phone instead of a traditional menu. Or, what if they don't have a smartphone?

There's no stopping you from using both! A paper menu, and FreshMenu. We only supplement and improve the way you do things. In case a customer doesn't have, or doesn't want to use their smartphone, your server can just scan the QR code themselves and help them order.

Employees are afraid they might be replaced by this technology. Should this be a concern?

Not really. If there are no people, who will serve the food, prepare the tables, and accommodate the guests? This technology improves efficiency in the restaurant. It's not merely for reducing the workforce.

What are the system requirements to install this software?

Being a cloud-based solution, this doesn't require any installation process. You only need to have the latest version of your internet browser. We recommend using Google Chrome. You are also not restricted to accessing it from only one device. You can have multiple devices running at the same time.

Cloud-based means that without internet connection this won't run, right?

Right. You need to make sure your internet connection is running the whole time you are using this service. In the event that your LAN WIFI connection in the restaurant is out, you can use a tablet with cellular data, or a laptop with a hotspot wifi connection using mobile phone data, to continue operating the POS without interruptions.
